  • Terrestrial vs. Gas Giants: Understanding Planetary Composition
    We divide planets into two main groups based on their composition:

    * Terrestrial Planets: These are rocky planets with solid surfaces. They are typically smaller and denser than gas giants. Examples include Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.

    * Gas Giants: These are planets composed primarily of hydrogen and helium gas. They are much larger than terrestrial planets and have no solid surface. Examples include Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
