    Visible light occupies a very small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. It's only about 0.0035% of the entire spectrum.

    To put that in perspective, imagine the entire electromagnetic spectrum as a giant beach. Visible light would be about the size of a single grain of sand on that beach.
