  • Planetary Visibility: Which Planets Are Never Visible at Midnight?
This is a bit of a trick question!

You can't see any planets at midnight.

    Here's why:

    * Planets reflect sunlight: Planets are visible because they reflect sunlight.

    * Earth's rotation: At midnight, the sun is on the opposite side of the Earth from where you are. This means the planets are also on the other side of the Earth, hidden by the sun's light.

You can see planets in the sky at other times of the day and night, but never when the sun is directly behind them.
