  • Beagle 2: The Story of the Unsuccessful British Mars Probe
The unsuccessful British Martian probe was called Beagle 2.

It was part of the European Space Agency's Mars Express mission, launched in 2003. Beagle 2 was designed to land on Mars and search for signs of past or present life. However, communication with the probe was lost shortly after it was expected to have landed, and it was later determined that its landing system had failed to deploy properly.
