  • Saturn: Inner or Outer Planet? Exploring Its Place in the Solar System
Saturn is an outer planet, and it's not in the asteroid belt.

    Here's why:

    * Inner Planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars are the inner planets. They are closer to the Sun and are mostly rocky.

    * Outer Planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are the outer planets. They are further from the Sun and are mostly made of gas (gas giants) or ice (ice giants).

    * Asteroid Belt: The asteroid belt lies between Mars and Jupiter. It's a region of space filled with rocky objects, ranging in size from pebbles to dwarf planets like Ceres.

Saturn is far beyond the asteroid belt, orbiting much further out from the Sun.
