  • Jupiter's Day Length: How Fast Does It Rotate?
That's incorrect! Jupiter actually has one of the shortest days in our solar system, but it's not the shortest. Here's why:

    * Jupiter rotates incredibly fast. It spins once on its axis in just under 10 hours. That's much faster than Earth, which takes 24 hours.

    * The shortest day belongs to Jupiter's neighbor, Saturn. Saturn has an even faster rotation, completing a full spin in about 10.5 hours.

So while Jupiter has a very short day, Saturn beats it by a little bit!
