There are five officially recognized dwarf planets in our solar system:

    1. Pluto - The most famous dwarf planet, it was once considered the ninth planet but was reclassified in 2006.

    2. Eris - Larger than Pluto, Eris is located in the Kuiper Belt and has a very eccentric orbit.

    3. Makemake - Also found in the Kuiper Belt, Makemake is the third largest dwarf planet.

    4. Haumea - A very elongated dwarf planet, Haumea is located in the Kuiper Belt.

    5. Ceres - The largest dwarf planet, Ceres is located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
