  • Solar Wind: Understanding the Constant Outflow from Stars
The constant outward release of tiny particles caused by stars' energy production is called the solar wind.

    Here's a breakdown:

    * Energy Production: Stars generate energy through nuclear fusion in their core, where hydrogen atoms fuse into helium, releasing tremendous amounts of energy.

    * Particle Release: This energy production creates a continuous outward flow of charged particles, primarily protons and electrons, called the solar wind.

    * Tiny Particles: These particles are indeed tiny, traveling at high speeds (hundreds of kilometers per second).

    * Outward Flow: The solar wind constantly streams outward from the Sun, filling the entire solar system.

Important Note: The solar wind is not to be confused with the light and heat we receive from the Sun, which are forms of electromagnetic radiation. The solar wind is a stream of actual particles.
