  • Hubble Space Telescope: Why It Needs Orbit Above Earth
The telescope that only works if placed on a satellite above the atmosphere is the Hubble Space Telescope.

    Here's why:

    * Earth's atmosphere distorts light: The Earth's atmosphere acts like a blurry lens, scattering and absorbing light from distant objects. This makes it difficult to get clear images of celestial objects from ground-based telescopes.

    * Hubble's location: The Hubble Space Telescope orbits above the Earth's atmosphere, allowing it to observe the universe without this distortion. It can capture extremely detailed images of distant galaxies, nebulae, and other celestial objects.

There are other telescopes in space, but the Hubble is the most iconic and well-known for its amazing images and scientific discoveries.
