  • Discover the Key Stars of the Pisces Constellation
Pisces, the fish, is a faint constellation with no particularly bright stars. However, some notable ones include:

    * Alrescha (Alpha Piscium): A double star, the brighter component being a white subgiant. It's the brightest star in Pisces, though still relatively faint at magnitude 3.8.

    * Fomalhaut (Alpha Piscis Austrini): This star is actually part of the constellation Piscis Austrinus (the Southern Fish), which sits just below Pisces. While not officially in Pisces, it's often associated with the constellation. Fomalhaut is a bright star, easily visible with the naked eye.

    * Eta Piscium: This is the second brightest star in Pisces, a yellow giant with magnitude 4.2. It's a good example of a Cepheid variable, meaning its brightness fluctuates over time.

    * Gamma Piscium: A double star with a white primary component. It's of magnitude 4.3.

    * 19 Piscium: An orange giant, slightly fainter than Gamma Piscium at magnitude 4.8.

While these are some of the more notable stars, they are all relatively faint. Pisces is a constellation best observed in a dark sky with minimal light pollution.
