  • Why Venus Is Uninhabitable: The Extreme Heat Explained
One reason that life as we know it is unlikely to exist on Venus is because its surface temperature is extremely high, reaching over 460°C (860°F).

This intense heat is due to a runaway greenhouse effect, where the thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide traps solar radiation and prevents it from escaping back into space. This scorching temperature would instantly vaporize any liquid water and destroy any known form of organic molecules necessary for life as we understand it.
