  • Sun's Orbital Speed: How Far Does It Travel in One Minute?
The Sun doesn't really "travel" in the way we think of it. It's not moving through space in a straight line like a car on a road. Instead, it's orbiting the center of the Milky Way galaxy.

Here's how we can understand the Sun's "movement":

    * Orbital Speed: The Sun travels at an average speed of about 137 miles per second (220 km/s) around the center of the Milky Way.

    * Distance in 1 Minute: In one minute (60 seconds), the Sun would travel approximately 8,220 miles (13,200 km).

Important Note: This is just the Sun's orbital motion around the Milky Way. It also has other, smaller motions like "wobble" due to the gravitational influence of planets.
