Apollo was a major Olympian god in ancient Greek religion and mythology. He was the god of music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge. Apollo is often depicted as a handsome, beardless young man with long hair, holding a lyre or a bow and arrow.
