Our solar system does not have any stars. A star is a ball of glowing gases that produces its own light and heat through nuclear fusion. Our solar system consists of the Sun, eight planets, dwarf planets, and many moons, asteroids, comets and meteoroids. The Sun is the only star in our solar system.
