  • Neptune's Orbital Period: Understanding 29.5 Earth Years
The term "29.5 earth years" refers to the approximate time it takes for Neptune to complete one orbit around the Sun. This orbit is also known as Neptune's sidereal year or year. Neptune moves slowly in its orbit because it is located at a great distance from the Sun. As the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun in our solar system, Neptune experiences weaker gravitational force and takes a longer time to complete one full revolution around the Sun.
