There are indeed more suns in outer space. Our own sun is just one of billions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and there are an estimated 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. Each galaxy typically contains billions of stars, so it is safe to say that there are a vast number of suns in the universe.
