  • Elephant Mass on the Moon: Understanding Mass vs. Weight
    The mass of an elephant would be the same on the moon as it is on Earth. Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object, and it does not change depending on the gravitational field that the object is in.

    Weight, on the other hand, is a measure of the force of gravity acting on an object. It depends on both the mass of the object and the gravitational field that it is in.
