  • Voyager 2 Location & Trajectory: Current Status and Future Plans
Voyager 2 is currently in the heliosheath, the outermost layer of the Sun's atmosphere. It is about 119 AU (17.8 billion km; 11.1 billion mi) from the Sun and moving away from the Sun at a speed of about 15.4 km/s (34,400 mph). It is expected to reach the termination shock, the boundary between the heliosphere and interstellar space, in about 10 years.
