  • Understanding Apparent Star Movement: Earth's Perspective
There is actually no such thing as a moving star. Stars can appear to move over the course of a day or year due to the perspective from Earth. For instance, during the night, stars seem to move across the sky as Earth rotates on its axis, and from one season to another, different constellations can appear in the sky as Earth orbits around the Sun. However, stars themselves do not move from one point in the sky to another.
