  • Understanding Bird Shadows: Why They're Not Always Visible
    This is not true. If the bird is flying low enough to cast a shadow, then its shadow will be visible on the ground. However, if the bird is flying very high, then its shadow may be too small or faint to be seen. Additionally, if the sun is directly overhead, then the bird's shadow will be cast straight down, making it difficult to see from the ground.
