  • Gravity on Mars: Understanding Martian Gravitational Force
The force of gravity on Mars is much less than that on Earth. The acceleration due to gravity on Mars is approximately 3.71 m/s², which is about 38% of Earth's 9.8 m/s².

In other words, if you weighed 100kg on Earth, you would weigh approximately 37.6kg on Mars. Because Mars is not perfectly spherical but slightly flattened at the poles, gravity varies slightly across the planet's surface. Gravity is slightly weaker at the equator than at the poles but this difference is minor compared to difference the between gravity on mars and earth.
