  • Cesium Photoelectric Effect: Does Blue Light Emit Electrons?
    No.

The threshold wavelength for the photoelectric effect in cesium is 650 nm. This means that light with a wavelength shorter than 650 nm will cause electrons to be emitted from cesium, but light with a wavelength longer than 650 nm will not. Blue light has a wavelength of around 450 nm, so it is shorter than the threshold wavelength for cesium and will therefore cause electrons to be emitted.
