  • How Rain Cleans Water: Understanding Atmospheric Purification
Clouds do not directly clean the water they evaporate, the process of purification happens during precipitation. During precipitation, such as rain or snow, the water droplets grow by colliding and combining with other droplets and particles in the air. As they do, they wash away pollutants, dust, and other particles effectively filtering the water.
