Electron microscopes do not use a beam of light to produce magnified images. Instead, they use a beam of electrons, which are much smaller than light waves, to create images with much higher resolution and magnification than optical microscopes. The images produced by electron microscopes are not visible to the human eye and must be viewed on a screen or printed out.
