  • Light and Matter: Understanding the Fundamental Difference
Light is not considered matter. Matter refers to anything that has mass and occupies space. Light, on the other hand, is a form of energy that exhibits properties of both waves and particles. Photons, which are the quanta of light, have no mass and do not take up space, so they are not considered matter.
