PSR J0514-4002, is the fastest-rotating neutron star known, with a rotational frequency of 707 Hertz (revolutions per second), corresponding to a period of about 1.41 milliseconds per rotation. It is powered by the accretion in its disk of matter stripped off of its binary companion star, with a 2.443 hr orbital period.
