  • Venus: Could Life Exist in Its Clouds?
    The answer is: No.

Venus is a very inhospitable planet. The atmosphere is very dense and hot, with a surface temperature of about 462 °C (863 °F). The pressure is about 92 times that of Earth, and the atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide. There is also a lot of sulfuric acid in the atmosphere, which makes it very corrosive. In addition, Venus is constantly bombarded by solar radiation, which would quickly kill any living organism.
