  • Buff-Breasted Button-Quail: Extinct or Lost to Time?
There is no evidence to suggest that the buff-breasted button-quail is still alive. The bird was first described in 1899, based on a single specimen collected in Argentina. Despite numerous searches, no further specimens have ever been found. As such, the species is considered to be extinct.
