Abstract:
The eROSITA X-ray sky survey, conducted with the extended ROentgen Survey with an Imaging Telescope Array (eROSITA) onboard the Spektr-RG observatory, provides deep and wide-area observations of the X-ray sky. By analyzing the eROSITA data, we investigate the relationship between the X-ray emission and the cosmic microwave background (CMB). We compare the eROSITA X-ray counts and fluxes in various energy bands with predictions based on the CMB temperature and intensity fluctuations. Our findings indicate consistency between the eROSITA measurements and the CMB, supporting the standard cosmological model. The results contribute to our understanding of the cosmic X-ray background and its connection to the early universe.
