ALBA (Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America):
- A regional alliance of countries in the Americas and the Caribbean that share a commitment to social, economic, and political integration.
- Founded in 2004 by Cuba and Venezuela, and now includes Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Dominica, Ecuador, Grenada, Nicaragua, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname.
- Focuses on promoting regional cooperation, solidarity, and the defense of sovereignty and self-determination among its member states.
- Has also been active in addressing issues related to climate change and sustainable development, and has coordinated initiatives to promote environmental protection and cooperation among its members.
