The solar system currently has eight planets. They are, in order of distance from the Sun:

5. Jupiter

6. Saturn

7. Uranus

8. Neptune

Pluto, once considered the ninth planet, was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006.

The solar system also contains a number of dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and other objects.
