  • Do Black Holes Twinkle? Understanding the Illusion
Black holes, by definition, do not twinkle. Stars appear to twinkle because of the Earth's atmosphere, which causes their light to be distorted. Black holes, on the other hand, are regions in space where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape. As a result, they are completely dark and cannot twinkle.
